Our Responsibilities
Justice of the Peace Courts has jurisdiction in criminal and civil matters:
-CIVIL- our court handles small claim & debt collection cases less than $20,000 and child truancy cases.
-EVICTIONS
-CRIMINAL - Class C Misdemeanors for example Hot Checks, Public Intoxication and Parent Contributing to Non-Attendance ( Parents not getting their children to school on time.)
